TACTICA Thermo Pants T5
The TACTICA Thermo Pants T5 were created to replace the TACTICA Winter Cargo Pants T3. They feature a lighter construction with less insulation, making them a more versatile design for the transitional months (the BMC team uses them for warm-ups, cool-downs, and podium walks during this time), but they still offer sufficient thermoregulation when worn with other garments and during combined training sessions in cold and harsh weather. The RX EVO material, an insulating fabric similar to Roubaix, makes the pants suitable for winter, as it blocks water from the outside and wicks moisture away from the inside. On days with moderate temperatures, RX EVO provides sufficient insulation over summer bib shorts or liner shorts. In cold, freezing, or stormy weather, these pants add winter protection when worn over insulated liner shorts or a combination of Spring Fall Bib Shorts T5 and leg warmers. Full-length detachable zippers at the outer seams make it easy to remove the pants with your shoes on, and integrated zippered pockets provide secure storage for essentials. Pair these pants with bib shorts or summer liner shorts on cool days or during pre-race warm-ups. In colder weather or during winter combined training, wear them with thermal layers or insulated bib shorts. These versatile protective pants can be combined with full-length, short, and liner bib shorts in cool or cold weather. They feature full-length detachable zippers for easy removal without having to take off your shoes. FEATURED FABRICS: Breathable RX EVO fabric features thermoregulating technology, a soft brushed inner face, and an eco-friendly water-repellent treatment. The elastic bands stand out for their pure black color that doesn't turn white when stretched.
CONSTRUCTION/FIT
The TACTICA T5 model promotes greater freedom of movement and a less aggressive pedaling style than our racing fit: It combines a streamlined, low-volume aerodynamic design with a construction that is comfortable for several hours and less restrictive when walking.
