A true race tire for true racers. High-volume, fast, and grippy, the IKON delivers outstanding performance across a wide range of terrain conditions, from hardpack to loose surfaces. For extremely hard and rocky terrains, the Maxxis IKON is available in the EXO-Protection version, which securely shields the sidewalls with minimal added weight.
*Tubeless Ready*
Tubeless tires offer many advantages to the cyclist: the ability to use lower air pressures for improved traction; lower rolling resistance compared to a tube-type tire; and reduced chance of flat tires due to the absence of a tube. Liquid sealants should only be used with the following tire types: road tubeless, tubular, and tubeless ready.
*EXO Protection*
EXO is a cut- and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of many Maxxis mountain and gravel tires. This densely woven fabric is lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that the tire’s performance remains unaffected. Choose EXO Protection for increased durability on gravel, XC, and light trail rides.
