GENIE - The Magic Carpet Ride:

 

The biggest innovation of the Stumpjumper 15 is GENIE. This patented pneumatic shock technology we've invented fulfills any rider's three wishes: the feel and control of a coil, better bottom-out prevention than a standard air shock, and an adjustable "platform" for a playful feel.

 

ILLUMINATING GENIE:

 

GENIE combines the linear elasticity rate of a coil that enhances control in the "bump zone" with the progressive elasticity rate of an air spring at the end of the stroke to prevent bottoming out. Truly, it's the best of both worlds, coil and air, with greater adjustability. Say goodbye to compromises and hello to the future of riding: With bump force management 16.3% better than a traditional air shock, GENIE makes the Stumpy 15 ride like a longer-travel bike. For example, the Stumpjumper 15 (with 145 mm of rear wheel travel) and our Enduro (170 mm travel) use 101 mm of travel to absorb a bump force of 1080 N.

 

BROAD TRACTION:

 

Extensive field tests demonstrate that the Stumpjumper 15 with GENIE offers 57% more traction than a standard air shock, as GENIE technology provides flexible, coil-like performance that keeps the wheel in contact with the ground for a greater percentage of time than a typical air shock.

 

GOODBYE TO BOTTOM-OUTS:

 

39% fewer bottom-outs than a standard shock. During big impacts, it takes advantage of the rate hike in the last 30% of GENIE travel. Because of this steep two-stage rise rate, GENIE reduces the frequency and severity of bottom-outs.

 

OPTIMIZED GEOMETRY:

 

This bike's geometry offers the capability of a big bike when you need it, a playful feel on playful sections, and agile, efficient climbing behavior. The generous cockpit centers you on the bike, optimizing traction and control in corners. The low bottom bracket, slack head angle, and optimized fork offset maintain stability on rough terrain.

The Stumpjumper 15 seamlessly integrates benchmark geometry adjustment, making it the most customizable trail bike ever. Six distinct geometry adjustments allow you to tailor performance to any style on any terrain. The head angle and bottom bracket height can be precisely adjusted for stability or clearance.

 

WHEELS FOR ALL:

 

With our aftermarket shocks, you can choose between big wheels front and rear or mix things up with a 27.5" rear for more responsive, playful riding. No matter what you choose, the geometry remains unaffected.
